Governors of Maine and New Brunswick Agree to Climb Each Others Highpoints

The governors of Maine and New Brunswick, Canada, have agreed to climb each other’s highpoints in 2008 according to Mainteoday.

Premier Shawn Graham and Gov. John Baldacci have agreed to climb the highest mountain peaks in Maine and New Brunswick, together, next summer. The peak at Katahdin is 5,267 feet and and marks the northern end of the Appalachian Trail. Mount Carleton in northwestern New Brunswick has an elevation of 2,690 feet.
