Yubanet reports that the California Court of Appeals on August 27, 2007, issued an order prohibiting development of 27 luxury home on Whitney Portal Road.
The court said the developers should have considered a land swap rather than building on the access road to the California highpoint trailhead. The development is called the Whitney Portal Preserve.
