Mount Rainier Climbing Festival Sept. 15-16

Join WTA at this annual festival of mountaineering. Don’t miss this great gathering of noted mountaineers including Jim Whittaker (first American to summit Everest), Ed Viesturs (first American to climb all fourteen 8,000 meter peaks without oxygen), Lou Whittaker (American climbing legend and founder of Rainier Mountaineering Inc), and more. The climbers will be hosting films and slide shows, signing books, and conducting equipment demonstrations. Enjoy activities like a 5-mile run, climbing wall for all ages, BBQ and local brews, live entertainment, raffles, mountaineering travel displays, and kids’ games.
