The Missouri Department of Natural Resources says Nixon no longer represents the agency in the case. But Nixon’s office says he will continue to pursue a civil case for DNR.



That means Ameren will now negotiate with two agencies over legal action resulting from the reservoir breach, which destroyed a state park and caused millions of dollars in damage.



DNR made the decision because Nixon accepted $19,000 in campaign contributions that originated with Ameren. Nixon has since said he will return the money. c
