Abseiler Killed in Ben Nevis 100 Foot Plunge

A climber abseiling down Tower Ridge approach to Ben Nevis was killed after falling 100 feet.

Two of the party are believed to have secured themselves to rock as the third man began his abseil. As he did, it is believed the piece of rock his colleagues were secured to gave way. The debris fell and hit the third man on the hand, and his two colleagues fell about 100ft at the back of Douglas Boulder.
