Newsday reports Adam Barnes, 24, fell 100 feet at Sleeping Giant State Park near Hamden, CT.
A Ridgefield man was badly injured at the park in February of this year when his rappelling equipment failed and he fell from a cliff.
And in 1998, a New Haven man fell to his death from an icy cliff in the park. He was hiking in sneakers.
