The Caledonian Record reports that E-bay bidders have reneged on bids to rent the entire Mount Washington Hotel for one night for Katrina Relief.
Bidding ran from Sept. 14 to 24, although no bids were posted on eBay after Sept. 15. On Sept. 23, two bidders retracted offers of $20,000 and $21,000, citing “entered wrong amount” as a reason, according to eBay’s record of the auction.
The remaining bidder had offered $19,600.
The Hotel says it will not relist and will not pursue the bidders for the rental which was to be off-season date of Nov. 9).
