Soloist on Slab Route on Half Dome is Yosemite’s Sixth Fatality This Season

The AP reports a soloist on Yosemite’s Half Dome was the park’s sixth fatality this season.

Bela Feher, 35, of San Diego, apparently fell 100 to 150 feet while climbing about 100 feet east of the “Slab Route.” He was the first climbing fatality this season although a man fell earlier off of Lembert Dome, two have drown in high waters from last winter’s big snows.
