Father and Son in Mystery 200 Foot Fall on Bridge Near Mammoth Springs in Yellowstone

Police are investigating the mystery 200 foot plunge from a bridge of a father and son at Yellowstone.

Drew W. Speedie, 50, and his son, 13-year-old son Brent, were found Friday by a park ranger 200 feet below the Gardner River High Bridge near Mammoth Hot Springs.

An eyewitness reported something happened on the bridge but authorities could not understand him because English was not his primary language. Speedie’s wife said the two had gone to the bridge for a photograph.

Officials are looking for the driver of a dark-colored van who may have information about the incident.

Matthews said officials also are still looking for the driver of a dark-colored van who may have information about the incident.

Speedie from Scottsdale, AZ, was a prominent software enginer for Visionpace.
