Longmontfyi reports the body of the first climbing ranger to perish on active duty in Rocky Mountain National Park has been found near Spectacle Lakes, southeast of Ypsilon Mountain.

There had been a massive search for Jeff Christensen, 31, after he disappeared July 29, near the Mount Chiquita summit when he said he was planning a 12-14 mile hike through Mummy Range from the Chapin Pass Trailhead to the Lawn Lake Trailhead.
