Mount Logan’s Youngest Summiter Jessica Aulik in Fatal Avalanche

CBC reports Jessica Aulik who at 17 was the youngest to climb Canada’s Mount Logan was killed in an avalanche on the east ridge during a climb on May 31.

Aulik was 24. Her climbing partner, Chris Davis, 34, who was not injured, did not have a satellite phone and spent an additional week on the mountain searching for help. He was spotted Monday by a TransNorth helicopter pilot flying in the area.

[In response to the comments I corrected Jessica's age from 22 which was originally reported]
