Everestnews reports a serial Ecureuil/AStar AS 350 B3 helicopter piloted by Didier Delsalle landed on the top of Mount Everest on May 14 and May 15!
This breaks the record for the highest altitude landing and take-off ever. The helicopter left from basecamp Lukla at 9,403 feet and stayed 2 minutes on the summit.
The helicopter landed on Everest’s South Pass (26,000) on May 12 breaking a world record. The helicopter on April 14 flew to a record height of 33,500 feet.
