Mt. Mansfield is accessible via drive up to the Nose or in the winter on a ski lift.  Many people prefer to hike the Long Trail to the summit.
 
This is a comparison of the approaches.  If you hike the Long Trail, it is approximately 5 miles roundtrip with a 2,700 foot gain.  The trail from the drive up parking is 2 miles rounding trip with a 700 foot gain.
