Sean Burch claims to have climbed a record on June 7 this year along the Marangu route 5 hours, 28 minutes 58 seconds. However this record has been challenged according to a post in the forum.
The roundtrip normally takes 7 days.
Thomas Guminsky held the earlier roundtrip record of 21 hours.
