I cannot vouch for this guide. However with reports that Carstenz Pyramid is closed, I am passing along this
Current webcams of McKinley are difficult (but not impossible) to come by. Various cams in Anchorage show the mountain on clear days. The cams that are checked the most are the FAA ones.

The weather underground sticker is useful. But the NOAA weather forecast is available all the way to the summit during climbing season (May-July) and of course there’s the Denali Pass weather station that they want to maintain just below the summit at 18,700 feet.

The official information Mount Whitney, California, page is available at the Inyo National Forest page. Permits are required! Whitney has quotas. If you are wanting to take more than one day to climb you absolutely must enter the lottery. If you are wanting to day hike it, you probably can get the permit the day before the hike (except on busy weekends in the summer). You are safer of course if you have all this worked out in advance.
