The Tri Peaks Bicycling Challenge is the third week of May and is sanctioned by USA Cycling Association.

It goes up Petit Jean Mountain (950 ft.), Mt. Nebo (1350 ft.), and Mt. Magazine (2750 ft.) climbing 5,000 feet in 3 days and cover 160 miles. Velonews calls this USA Cycling National Racing Calendar event “the toughest finish in America.” The final Mount Magazine leg is called “Cardiac Arrest – Only the fit survive.”
